1st Edition / OSRIC Automated Charactersheet

This is a beta release of an Automated Character sheet using OSRIC for the 1st Edition of the Advanced game.

What is it: 

A fully automated 1e (3 book PHB, DMG, MM compatible, informed by OSRIC & official errata from Polyhedron) character record sheet, not just for creating characters, but also to be used during play. 

It only displays options that are available based on prior choices (so limits the number of choices to get rid of extraneous, not applicable options). It takes into account race, class, age (optional), ability scores, etc. etc. when displaying a characters abilities, stats, saves, XP needed, Saves, To hit targets, languages, encumbrance, and even unarmed combat modifiers. Also incorporates rate of fire, weapon speed factor and weapon vs armor modifiers. It has a main character sheet for all classes, and class specific sheets for each of the PHB classes. 

Also includes optional rules (e.g. ascending armor class, ageing impacts on ability scores, etc.).

Who is this for: 

For GMs & beginning players that are trying to make character creation as simple as possible for new players. This helps narrow down the choices that have to be made to make a character, by cutting out options that the character can't meet entry requirements for. Automates all those annoying modifiers to things that need to be accounted for. 

For experienced players, it streamlines the character creation process to a few minutes if you know what you want to do. What it does not do: it doesn't roll stats/dice for you, it doesn't do the math on purchases for you.

  • NOTE: the instruction tab is coarse right now, but is hopefully complete with the steps needed to create a character.
